Complete Introductory IMBT Program

This a wonderful way to introduce yourself to the integrated services at IMBT that identify source problems and begin the best course of action for you. The introductory program includes 3 parts scheduled separately: One 90 minutes manual therapy differential assessment AND treatment,review of medical and health history. One (1) hour mat session and initial home based program and (1)hour apparatus hour. The manual therapy session will identify and begin to correct underlying sources of your problem, addressing structural/physiologic restrictions throughout your entire body. These can be the source of tightness, limited flexibility or strenth, discomfort, postural problems or pain, even sensory-motor needs. In the private mat and equiptment sessions, based on manual diagnostics, you will learn specific therapeutic and core stability exercises you currently need, which exercises to do at home and most importantly, you are guided how to do them correctly for maximum benefit.

All sessions require 24 hr cancellation notice.

INDIVIDUAL EQUIPMENT/MOVEMENT SESSIONSs.

Basic 3 Introductory Package

This movement series is three private, one-on-one,1-hour sessions that gives you the opportunity to see if IMBT Pilates or Gyrotonic® is for you, whether you are new to these approaches, have special needs, or injuries that have not been responsive to methods you have tried.

Individualized Private Sessions

Experience ongoing, indepth personalized attention that focus on your specific needs. Individualized instruction optimizes your understanding of how these methods relate to you and your body as you progress and your needs change. Progressively taught, sessions integrate Gyrotonic® and Pilates state of the art resistance apparatus and non apparatus exercise which combine physical conditioning with therapeutic exercise Gyrotonic® Pilates & Yoga. Identify what you can do 'at home' and how to do it corrrectly to achieve real results.

Workshops

Core Moves explores varied resources that enable each individual to discover freedom of movement and physical integration. You learn how to connect to, sense, and engage your body and its movement on many levels of felt experience and awareness, especially at spinal and whole body core level strength. Developed for the needs of a particular group and their interests, the class develops progressively each week, reviews and builds upon what is taught in previous weeks. Prior groups include fitness enthusiasts, PT patients, athletes, performing artists,movement professionals, and bodyworkers in the US and Europe. For information, please call 716-8204.

Gyrotonic based for Dancers
A progressive series designed for the special needs of dancers. The group class includes practical tools and insights for training more effectively and safely.
Included are Gyrotonic™system of exericses to stretch and strengthen muscles while simultaneously stimulating connective tissues in and around the joints of the body by using circularity, spiraling and undulating movement. Multiplanar movement along with breathing release unecessary tension and creates balanced skeletal core support, spinal articulation, dynamic alighnment and joint mobility. It educate the body to utilize harmonious movements and cultivate energy flow with synchronized breathing patterns, creating a spherical and three-dimensional awareness.Moving with internal awareness, dancers deepen their sense of connections within the body that allows for ease, natural elongation,core strength, and integration.

Fundamentals of Yoga

This series of classes is an excellent way to experience the benefits that can be gained through practicing Yoga as well as develop a safe foundation.You will be introduced to the fundamental principles of this method, taking you progressively step by step though standing poses, shoulderstand and other foundation postures.You will be shown how to use props unique to the Iyengar method of Yoga to enable you to develop further within the poses. You will learn the basics of alighnment, breathing, basic stretches, strenthening exercises and relaxation techniques.Recommended for those new to Yoga or to Iyengar based Yoga as well as those who wish to deepen their Yoga practice . call 609-716-8204


About classes

Classes are taught in a progressive, safe and focused manner.

  • Pre registration required.call 716-8204. Six(6) week Series cost is $90. Reserve your space early. Classes are a great compliment to resistance training on equiptment.
  • For those who have significant injuries, it is strongly recommended that you introduce yourself to any method by taking private sessions before enrolling in a group class.
