About Integrated Movement & Body Therapies

"Everything in the body moves as an integrated whole"

Freedom of movement is essential to life and health. Of particular importance are those rhythmic motions – not ordinarily visible – that take place within the human body. All tissues need to move to function properly within and between systems of the body whether they are fascial, membranous, muscular, tendons and ligaments, visceral, osseous, joints, nerves, fluid or circulatory. At optimal health, this harmonious relationship remains stable despite the body's endless varieties of motion. Osteopathic based therapies Manual Therapies use gentle but specifically directed palpation or manual "listening" of normal and abnormal forces within your body. The therapists can evaluate and discern how abnormal forces interplay, overlap and affect the normal forces at work to move beyond symptoms by analyzing and treating the specific anatomical sources and interrelationships of your dysfunction and chronic pain(conditions treated).

Evaluation each and every session will assess the entire body including the cranium, pelvis, trunk, spine, viscera, and extremeties.Diffferential manual diagnoistics that "listen to the tissues"is the detective work to understand 1what is occurring in the specific anatomy and related tissues that are restricted and underlying each individuals symptoms 2. discern how a dysfunction in one area can have an affect on the whole system to create broader patterns of dysfunction throughout the anatomy.

Thus, treatment addresses the individuals unique patterns and involves restoring physiologic motion both locally and globallyl. When the parts of body move properly and structural relationships are normalized, function and health improve. Each treatment is unique according to the findings in that day's evaluation locating the area and specifc anatomyand related tissues that ismost stressed at that time . Specifc and precisy targeted manual treatment reestablish optimal relationships both locally and globally within and between body ystems. Specificity of treatment strenthens and upports your body's normal self corrective mechanisms.

Benefits• normalizes restricted, fixated, compressed or shortened tissues and the nerves, blood vessels and structures they contain. •restores normal lenth and elasticity so that the body can move freely with normal motion and tone requisite for function and health •noninvasively dissipate negative effects of stress and its effects on the body and mind •enhance stability and mobility throughout the body •restore, improve and maintain the working interrelationships of the circulatory, nervous, visceral, fascial, lymphatic, vascular circulation and drainage and musculoskeletal systems (myofascial, connective tisses, bone, joints) •improve central, autonomic and peripheral nervous systems •improve compromised states of health •assist the whole body to self correct, repair, recover& be more adaptive • neurologically reset, and integrate structure/function for more lasting or permanant change •enhance the body's own self-healing at the level of your bodys deepest resources • integrate neuromuscular reeducation as an important part of rehabilitation to change habits, maintain structural integrity, balance and organization for healthy and efficient patterns of movement.
